Ticks are out of control on Martha's Vineyard, but I promise these ones don't bite. Ticks have become a daily hazard, shared nightmare, and common thread for islanders. We talk about them at dinner, in the grocery store, and in line at the post office. Ticks are part of our culture, now. We might as well find some beautiful and joy in them.
