"SHARTK" is part of the Absurd Fish series by Martha's Vineyard artist, Saundra LaBell.
This collection explores the little quirks we see in each other, and ourselves, made even more absurd by assigning them to fish and other sea creatures. I never promised these would all be deep, or even classy. "Shartk" explores a more basic, biological quirk of the human experience. This great white shark wears a worried expression while holding a roll of toilet paper as he leaves the scene; a group of faintly discolored bubbles trail behind him.
Each acrylic painting is done in the same color-palet, on either 6x6 inch or 8x8 inch square, flat-boards.
