"CONCH WITH CONCH PIERCINGS" is part of the Absurd Fish series by Martha's Vineyard artist, Saundra LaBell.
This collection explores the little quirks we see in each other, and ourselves, made even more absurd by assigning them to fish and other sea creatures. "Conch with Conch Piercings" is just what it says. The obligatory conch piercing that sets apart every cool girl from the rest of the school. Does she get the piercing because she's cool, or is she cool because she got the piercing? The world may never know.
Each acrylic painting is done in the same color-palet, on either 6x6 inch or 8x8 inch square, flat-boards.
